![]() ![]() I would highly recommend spending an extra $50 on a 4670 512Mb or similar dedicated GPU. That being said, in most every newer game (last 5 years or so) the x4500 is very weak. When you include the necessary platform improvements (new CPU, more and faster RAM), you will have a significantly faster system. Or to put it another way, if I get an X4500 integrated chipset, what "year" am I in, compared to the dedicated graphics cards from Nvidia, ATI, etc?Ĭompared to your ancient Matrox G400MAX, the x4500 IGP is pretty powerful. ![]() How does the X4500 stack up in that regard? Is it going to feel like an upgrade? How is it for old (but 3D nevertheless) games? I am currently playing games on a 9 year old Matrox G400MAX.
